DEMING – Local law enforcement officers with the Deming Police Department made several arrests recently, with the individuals later booked into the Luna County Detention Center on a variety of charges ranging from battery to drug-related offenses and outstanding warrants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the daily media report provided by authorities, Carrie L. Howell, age 36, of Deming, was arrested on a Luna County Magistrate Court warrant for charges of escape or attempt to escape from jail and forgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a separate incident, Melissa Lynn Johnson, age 45, of Deming, was arrested and charged with battery upon a household member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Authorities also report that Amanda Jean Pinon, age 42, of Deming, was taken into custody on charges of possession of a controlled substance, identified as methamphetamine, along with use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Officials say Pinon was additionally wanted on a Luna County Magistrate Court warrant related to conspiracy charges involving aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated burglary. The report indicates the charges carry a no-bond hold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In another case, Salvador Terrazas, age 35, of Deming, was arrested and charged with battery upon a household member and criminal damage to the property of a household member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
