DEMING – Three people were arrested on separate charges over the holiday weekend as Deming Police also investigated theft, property damage, and obtained a warrant in an unrelated domestic criminal damage case.
According to the Deming Police Department’s July 6 media report, 42-year-old Lorenzo Baca was arrested and charged with Unlawful Use of a License.
David Montenegro, 34, was arrested on charges of Driving Under the Influence of Liquor, Reckless Driving, No Seat Belt, and Open Container.
Adilene Garcia Barriga, 21, was also arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Liquor, Failure to Yield the Right of Way, No Insurance, Expired Registration, and Open Container.
In other police activity, authorities reported that a warrant has been issued for a 32-year-old man on a charge of Criminal Damage to the Property of a Household Member. His name has not been released because the warrant has not yet been served.
Police are also investigating the theft of a child’s BMX bicycle from the 1200 block of Encanto Circle. The bicycle was reported stolen on July 3 and is valued at approximately $100.
In a separate incident, officers responded to the 300 block of East Walnut Street after someone reportedly threw a rock through a residential window on July 5. The damaged window is estimated at $200, and no suspects have been identified.
All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
