DEMING – Deming Public Schools transportation staff, contracted bus drivers, School Resource Officers, security personnel and district nurses recently completed School Transportation Active Response Training, known as S.T.A.R.T.
The training was held July 23 and focused on strengthening emergency-response procedures, improving communication and building coordination among the departments responsible for student transportation and safety.
District officials said training together helps ensure staff members are prepared to respond as a coordinated team during critical situations involving students and school transportation.
Deming Public Schools thanked the participants, organizers, coordinators and facilitators for their work on the training and their continued commitment to student safety.
The district said the effort supports its goal of “Delivering Students for Success.”
