Vendors Wanted for 47th Annual Great American Duck Races Set for August in Deming

DEMING – Organizers of one of Luna County’s most beloved summer traditions are now calling on local businesses, food vendors, and artisans to sign up for the 47th Annual Great American Duck Races, scheduled for August 20 through August 23, 2026, at McKinley Duck Downs in Deming.

The four-day festival is expected to once again draw tens of thousands of visitors from across New Mexico and neighboring states, continuing a decades-long tradition that blends family entertainment, community pride, and economic opportunity for local vendors.

Event officials say vendor participation is a key part of the Duck Races experience, offering everything from food and crafts to specialty goods and services. With attendance regularly topping 20,000 people over the course of the weekend, organizers describe the event as a prime opportunity for businesses to showcase their products to a large and enthusiastic crowd.

The Great American Duck Races have been a staple of Deming’s summer calendar for nearly half a century, featuring signature duck races, live entertainment, children’s activities, and a bustling vendor marketplace that fills the park with sights, sounds, and flavors unique to the region.

Applications for vendor spaces are now open, but officials emphasize that space is limited and typically fills quickly as the August event approaches. The deadline to apply for a vendor booth is August 2, 2026.

Those interested in becoming a vendor can apply online through the event’s official website or contact organizers directly for additional information.
