Public Invited to Weigh In on NM 11 Corridor Study

DEMING – Residents and business owners will have an opportunity next week to learn more about the future of the NM 11 corridor and share their thoughts with the project team.

A public meeting for Phase IA of the NM 11 Corridor Study is scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Mimbres Valley Public Events Center, located at 2300 E. Pine Street in Deming.

The meeting is intended to give the public information about the study’s purpose and process, while also allowing residents and businesses to provide input on preferred alternatives that have been identified as part of the study.

The NM 11 corridor is a key transportation route connecting Deming and Columbus, extending toward the U.S.-Mexico border area. The corridor is important for local residents, businesses, commercial traffic, international travel and regional transportation planning.

According to the meeting flyer, the project team will be available during the public meeting to answer questions and explain the study process. Community members are encouraged to attend, learn more about the project and share feedback.
