DEMING – The Deming Police Department has announced a series of personnel changes, including a promotion, a voluntary reassignment, and the addition of a new code enforcement officer.
According to Deming Police Chief Sergio Lara, Gabriel Saenz voluntarily stepped down from his previous position to fill a vacant role within the department. Chief Lara said Saenz made the decision in order to gain additional experience and continue growing his knowledge across multiple divisions of the department.
As a result of the vacancy, Patrolman Jorge Madrid entered the department’s promotional process and earned high overall scores. Madrid has now been promoted to the rank of Patrol Sergeant.
The department has also welcomed Arthur Villa to the Codes Division. Villa fills a vacant code enforcement position previously held by Mr. Mesa.
Chief Lara congratulated all three employees on their new roles and thanked them for their commitment to serving the Deming community.
