DEMING – A familiar Deming landmark is looking a little brighter following some much-needed attention and a fresh coat of paint.<\/p>\n

The train displayed at the Deming Visitor Center, which also houses the Deming-Luna County Chamber of Commerce and Deming Luna County MainStreet offices, has been repainted as part of an effort to care for the community landmark.<\/p>\n

Deming Luna County MainStreet announced the completed project, saying the train received some much-needed TLC and is now refreshed and ready for residents and visitors to enjoy.<\/p>\n

The organization is encouraging people to stop by the Visitor Center, take a look at the newly painted train and snap a few photographs of the landmark\u2019s fresh appearance.<\/p>\n

MainStreet thanked the City of Deming for helping make the project possible and for its work in caring for what has become a recognizable piece of the community.<\/p>\n

The train is prominently displayed outside the Deming Visitor Center and serves as a reminder of the railroad\u2019s important place in Deming\u2019s history.<\/p>\n
