This year’s event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering families a free, family-friendly environment filled with entertainment, food vendors, and community engagement opportunities.

According to official event materials, Springfest is designed as a community gathering that encourages participation from children and parents of all ages through specialty booths, games, and themed activities. The event begins with an opening ceremony at 9 a.m., followed by the first egg hunt at 9:30 a.m., and concludes with a closing ceremony just before 1 p.m.

Multiple egg hunts are scheduled throughout the morning to ensure younger children and those with special needs have dedicated time to participate safely. Age-group hunts begin with children ages 0 to 2 at 9:30 a.m., followed by a special needs hunt at 10 a.m., children ages 3 to 4 at 10:30 a.m., and a make-up session at 11 a.m. for younger participants. Older children ages 5 to 8 hunt at 11:30 a.m., while children ages 9 to 12 take their turn at noon. An adult egg toss competition wraps up the activity schedule at 12:30 p.m.

Community participation remains a central part of the event’s success. The official site layout shows dozens of local organizations and businesses hosting booths and activities throughout the park, ranging from healthcare providers and financial institutions to nonprofit groups, churches, and local retailers. In total, more than three dozen vendors and community partners are expected to take part, highlighting the strong collaboration between local organizations and families across the region.

Food trucks and refreshment vendors will be available throughout the event, providing families with a variety of meal and snack options while children enjoy the day’s activities. Restrooms and event information stations will be located near the park entrance, and organizers remind participants that setup begins early in the morning to ensure the event starts on time.

Springfest’s longevity reflects its deep roots in the Las Cruces community. With the 31st anniversary being celebrated this year, the event traces its origins back to the mid-1990s, when it first began as a smaller seasonal gathering and steadily expanded into the large-scale family celebration it is today. Organizers say the continued success of Springfest is made possible through partnerships with local businesses, volunteers, and families who return year after year to celebrate the arrival of spring together.

Residents planning to attend are encouraged to arrive early, follow posted signage, and prepare for a busy morning of activities designed to create lasting memories for children and families across southern New Mexico.

Organizers emphasize that Springfest is truly a community event made possible through the support and participation of local businesses, organizations, and volunteers throughout the region.

The event is a community event thanks to the following businesses and organizations:

AG Brand
Aprendamos
Art by Edward Aguire
Battle Ready Ministry
Bravo Chevrolet Cadillac
Bravo Mic Communications
Bravo Mic Digital
Children’s Dental and Orthodontics
Diamond Elite Insurance Group
Enrich the Kids
Eyemart Express
GECU
Gustoso LLC – Caty’s Granita
Healthcare Solutions and Las Cruces Urgent Care
KTDO Media Group
La Mona Boutique
Las Catrinas
Las Cruces Parks and Recreation
Memorial Medical Center
MECA Therapies
Ming Star United Methodist Church
Mosquito Squad
Mountain Star Federal Credit Union
MountainView Regional Medical Center
Mountainside Family Farm LLC
MCH Family Outreach
Needles and Nibbles
New Life Missionary Baptist Church
Nothing Bundt Cakes
Old West Lending
Raising Cane’s
RCCG River of Living Water
Rock1049
Southwest Heritage Bank
Tresco Tots
United Healthcare
United Military Women of the Southwest

Bravo Mic Communications Radio Stations:
101 Gold
93.7 FM
Zia Country 99.5 FM
La Equis 96.7 FM
FM NewsTalk 92.7
Deming’s KDEM 94.3 FM
Deming Country 1230 AM KOTS

DEMING – Families across southern New Mexico are preparing for one of the region’s longest-running spring traditions as the 31st annual Springfest returns to Young Park on Saturday, April 4, bringing children, parents, and community partners together for a morning of games, activities, and the signature egg hunts that haveRead More →

[17

entry","author-john-k","post-505","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-local-news
["GET
