DEMING – Several individuals have recently been taken into custody on charges ranging from domestic violence to aggravated fleeing and driving while intoxicated, according to reports provided by the Deming Police Department and the Luna County Detention Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oscar Renteria, 28, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery against a household member and battery against a household member following a domestic-related incident investigated by officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brenda Gonzalez, 26, was taken into custody on multiple charges including aggravated battery against a household member, two counts of battery against a household member, and two counts of resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer after police responded to a disturbance call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Joseph Granado, 27, was arrested on charges of aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer and driving while intoxicated, first offense, after officers reported the individual attempted to evade law enforcement during a traffic-related incident before being apprehended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a separate incident, officers responded to a structure fire involving an abandoned residence on April 11 at approximately 1:20 a.m. Deming Police responded to the scene and the Deming Fire Department extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
