DEMING – Former U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg will be in southern New Mexico this weekend for a Democratic campaign event in Las Cruces.
Buttigieg is scheduled to appear Sunday, September 13, with U.S. Rep. Gabe Vasquez, the Democratic nominee for New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District, and Democratic gubernatorial nominee Deb Haaland.
Doors for the event are scheduled to open at 11 a.m., with the rally beginning at 1 p.m.
Organizers have announced that the event will take place in Las Cruces but are not publicly releasing the specific location in advance. Those who RSVP to attend will receive the location approximately 24 hours before the event.
The event is open to members of the public who register in advance.
