Ramiro Ramirez, 76, a resident of Deming, NM entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Ramiro was born on August 28, 1950 in Colonia Tres Alamos, Janos, Chihuahua, Mexico to Francisco Ramirez Sr. and Eloisa C. de Ramirez.
He worked and retired from the NM DOT after 25 years of service. Ramiro also belonged to La Asociacion de La Cabalgata Binacional.
He is survived by one brother, Francisco Ramirez Jr. of Deming, NM; four sisters, Maria M. Ramirez of Deming, NM; Argelia R. Palomarez and her husband José of Silver City, NM; Josie R. James and her husband Jim of Las Cruces, NM and Ana Maria Prieto and her husband Octavio of Deming, NM; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife, Felipa Cardenas Ramirez; his only son, Jesus Daniel Ramirez; two sisters, Hilda R. Jimenez and Martha R. Ogas; and one brother, Nahum C. Ramirez;
Visitation will be on Monday, September 28, 2026 from 4-5pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapel with the holy rosary beginning at 6pm. Funeral mass will be on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 11am at St. Ann Catholic Church with Father Francis Gyau officiating. Concluding services with an interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Joel Palomarez, Joel Encinas, Ricardo Ramirez, Francisco Ramirez III, Edrick Palomarez and Octavio Prieto.
