COLUMBUS, N.M. – Area seniors are invited to take advantage of the Senior Farmers Market on July 16, offering fresh locally grown produce at The Old School in Columbus.
The market will be open from 9 a.m. to noon at The Old School, located at 25 N. Boundary Street, Room 102.
The event is organized and sponsored by El Corazón de Columbus in partnership with La Ciénega Produce, which will provide the fresh produce for this market. El Corazón de Columbus works with local farmers throughout the season, depending on availability and event dates, to help ensure eligible seniors have access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
The Senior Farmers Market is designed to help eligible older adults access fresh, locally grown produce while supporting area agriculture. Organizers encourage eligible seniors to attend while supplies last.
The event is being hosted at The Old School and is open during the scheduled hours or until all available produce has been distributed.
