DEMING – Recent reports from the Deming Police Department include multiple arrests, theft investigations, graffiti and an emergency overdose response that resulted in a man being revived and transported for medical care.
Police reported Asencion Salas/Chaires, 19, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of liquor.
Ramon Franco, 26, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct. Chirstina Ortiz, 31, was arrested on two counts of resisting, evading or obstructing an officer and one count of battery upon a healthcare worker.
Arturo Carbajal, 25, was arrested on charges of aggravated DWI for refusal to submit to chemical testing, escape from the custody of a peace officer, and an adult probation warrant for violation of probation, listed as no bond.
Carlos Ransdell, 32, was arrested on a charge of criminal trespass. Jayroy Jones, 48, was arrested on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, aggravated DWI for refusal to submit to chemical testing, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
In a separate shoplifting case, Joshua Navarro, 36, was cited and released following an incident at Walmart.
Police also reported a bicycle valued at $120 was stolen from Wendy’s at approximately 9:30 a.m. A Champion generator valued at $1,249.99 was reported stolen from Tractor Supply. A male subject reportedly left the property in a green Chevrolet Tahoe or Yukon.
Graffiti was reported in an alley in the 1200 block of Santa Clara Street.
Officers were dispatched to Dollar General at 114 E. Third St. regarding a male subject at the location. Officers found a 25-year-old man unresponsive, administered two doses of Narcan and resuscitated him. EMS transported the man to the emergency room.
