DEMING – Deming Public Schools will conduct school bus rear-door evacuation drills on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
Students will practice safely exiting through the rear emergency door of the bus. Most evacuation exercises will take place during the afternoon, although some will be conducted in the morning.
Parents and guardians should expect possible transportation delays, with buses potentially running 10 to 15 minutes behind schedule.
Columbus Elementary School will conduct its evacuation exercises during the week of September 14 through September 18.
