DEMING – The Deming Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Tuesday, September 8, in Deming.
Deming Police Chief Sergio Lara said the case remains an open and active investigation, and the department is not releasing additional details at this time in order to protect the integrity of the investigation.
Lara is emphasizing the importance of assistance from the community and is asking anyone who may have information about the homicide to contact the Deming Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division or Central Dispatch at 575-546-0354.
People who wish to remain anonymous may provide information through Luna County Crime Stoppers. Information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.
Anonymous tips may be made by calling 575-546-7800, texting 274637 (CRIMES) and entering LUNATIP followed by the message, using the free TIPSOFT mobile app, or through the TIPSOFT website.
The Deming Police Department thanked the public for its cooperation as detectives continue the investigation.
