DEMING – The City of Deming is inviting residents and visitors to celebrate Independence Day at the annual Fourth of July Celebration at Trees Lake on Saturday, July 4. Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with live music from a local DJ, food vendors, family-friendly activities, and community gathering opportunities leading up to the evening fireworks show.
The celebration’s highlight will be a professionally choreographed fireworks display scheduled to begin at approximately 9:15 p.m. City officials say the show will be conducted by a licensed fireworks contractor to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for attendees.
To support the event, Cedar Street will close at 4 p.m. for pedestrian access and event parking. Additional public parking will be available at Starmax, Mimbres Valley Learning Center, City Hall, and the Rio Mimbres Golf Course. Event maps also show designated vendor areas, DJ locations, fireworks launch zones, and traffic control points around Trees Lake.
City employees, Code Enforcement officers, Deming Police Department personnel, and Emergency Medical Services staff will be on site throughout the evening to assist with public safety and traffic management. Officials are also reminding residents to comply with the City’s fireworks ordinance and avoid the use of prohibited fireworks within city limits.
Residents seeking information about the Fourth of July Parade and other activities taking place earlier in the day are encouraged to contact Deming MainStreet.
