LORDSBURG – The Lordsburg Municipal Airport is moving forward with long-term planning and security improvements designed to support future operations and safety.
City officials have initiated a comprehensive Airport Master Plan that will examine aviation needs over the next 20 years. The project includes updates to the airport layout plan, an aeronautical survey and preparation of an updated airport property map.
The airport is also advancing construction of perimeter fencing and an electronic access gate to improve security and control access to airport property.
Officials say the projects are intended to strengthen planning, regulatory compliance and operational safety while positioning the airport for future growth.
